Jo-Anne Huijnen (intern)

My name is Jo-Anne Huijnen, living with my childhood sweetheart Remy for longer than without him. In 2019 I was allowed to become a mother of Teun and in 2022 Aafke followed.

Ever since my first pregnancy and delivery, I have been very interested in the entire process of creating new life.I often heard the bad experiences with deliveries in my environment. After my first delivery (which went very differently than planned/expected), however, I experienced an enormous primal power and felt very strong. I want every woman to experience this primal power and to look back on the birth of her baby with pride.

I also pay a lot of attention to the partner during the entire process of pregnancy and birth. Because in this situation we forget the partners far too often, while it also has a lot of impact on them.

In addition to my doula services, I will also offer pregnancy massages. Hopefully postpartum massages will also be added in the near future. I work and live around 30 kms from Almelo, Overijssel province. My core values ​​are Relaxed, Together and Primal Power.
