Mariska Kooijman

My mission is to support women and their partners with compassion, drawing from my own strength and experience, in creating a positive and relaxed pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period – with confidence and a sense of control.

My name is Mariska Kooijman. I’m a doula, living in Twello, Gelderland, with my partner, our daughters Jacky (2018) and Loïs (2020), and our son Dex (2023).

As a doula, I am here to stand beside you and your (birth) partner throughout your pregnancy and as you prepare for birth. We take plenty of time to get to know each other and build a trusting connection. I’ll help you explore your birth preferences, provide clear information so you can make informed decisions, and support you in learning how to relax and maintain a sense of control. Would you like to follow a hypnobirthing course as well? That’s an option too.

During your birth, I offer emotional, mental, and physical support to you and your (birth) partner. And perhaps most importantly: I’m here for you – in every sense of the word.

My approach focuses on creating connection, providing information, and fostering a safe and trusted environment. With genuine attention, empathy, openness, a touch of humor, and a practical mindset, I aim to help you shape your own unique birth story.
