Jo-Anne Huijnen

My name is Jo-Anne Huijnen, living with my childhood sweetheart Remy for longer than without him. In 2019 I was allowed to become a mother of Teun and in 2022 Aafke followed.

Since my first pregnancy and birth, I have been deeply interested in the entire process of creating new life.
I often heard people around me share unpleasant birth experiences. After my first birth (which went very differently than planned/ expected), however, I experienced an immense primal power and felt very strong. I wish for every woman to experience this primal power and to look back on the birth with pride.

I also pay a lot of attention to the partner during the entire process of pregnancy and birth. Because in this situation we forget the partners far too often, while it also has a lot of impact on them.

In addition to my doula services, I provide prenatal and postpartum massages.
I also rent out birth pools and TENS units.
I mainly work in Overijssel, within a radius of +/- 35 kilometers around Reutum (Almelo).
My core values are Relaxation, Togetherness and Primal Power.
As Tante Doula, I am happy to contribute to this.
