Jo-Anne Huijnen

My name is Jo-Anne Huijnen, living with my childhood sweetheart Remy for longer than without him. In 2019 I was allowed to become a mother of Teun and in 2022 Aafke followed.

Since my first pregnancy and birth, I have been deeply interested in the entire process of creating new life.
I often heard people around me share unpleasant birth experiences. After my first birth (which went very differently than planned/ expected), however, I experienced an immense primal power and felt very strong. I wish for every woman to experience this primal power and to look back on the birth with pride.

I also pay a lot of attention to the partner during the entire process of pregnancy and birth. Because in this situation we forget the partners far too often, while it also has a lot of impact on them.

NExt to my doula services, I also offer pregnancy and postpartum massages.
I rent out birthpools and TENS machines.
My main working area is Overijssel, in about 35kms around Reutum (Almelo).
My core values are relaxation, togetherness and primal power.
As Tante Doula I love to be a part of this.
I am a member of NBvD, the Dutch Association for Doulas.
