Laurina Cerredo

I am Laurina Cerredo, also known as Doula Lau, a regular doula and bereavement doula/loss birth doula. My specialization is warm and thorough support in cases of serious medical indications (baby/mother) and pregnancy loss at any stage, from termination to miscarriage, from stillbirth to infant loss. My motivation for this work is to contribute to the recognition of the significant impact of pregnancy loss and to improve the support for parents who experience it.

I am a member of the Doula Collective ('het Doula Collectief'), a collaboration between doulas who aim to provide the best support to mothers and families of all compositions, in all different outcomes of a pregnancy.

I also believe in the warm power of gentleness and empathy. That being vulnerable often means being very strong. That closeness can dissolve loneliness. That our bodies know what to do, both in birth and in death.

I am a member of the NBvD, the Dutch Association for Doulas.
